District Instructional Expectations

We are trying to make this process NOT like this:

Instructional Expectations as given 8-11-17:

UPDATES TO THE ABOVE FORM:

  • PM tests CAN be graded (teacher/principal discretion), but still CANNOT be retaken.

  • PROGRESS MONITORING DATES HAVE CHANGED AS WELL AS OTHER DATES WHICH MAY HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN GIVEN. PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THE CALENDAR THAT IS A WORKING DOCUMENT TO KEEP YOU INFORMED!!! (see link below and on the Progress Monitoring page)

  • The Fountas and Pinnell testing dates have changed some. Ms. Paul wants MES to be due Sept. 15, MMS and MHS - I will come around to your reading intervention teacher/ELA teachers individually. We are still waiting on a few kits to arrive.

  • Waterford: See the page titled "Waterford" on these updates/tips.

  • If you notice any other discrepancies which need to be addressed, please let us know! This document is meant to assist with keeping everyone together curriculum-wise.  We cannot accomplish this if we do not know there is a problem.

Walkthrough Form
(observing what TEACHERS are doing)
This isn't a "score", but rather evidence that is seen as admin and other observers walk through

ELEOT Walkthrough Form
(observing what STUDENTS are doing)
This is what was used and what will continue to be used to comply with AdvancED. The score is used to show our growth as a school and a district over time.

Calendar - keep in mind that everything is TENTATIVE and subject to change. You can check this link as often as you like. However, all admin (school and district) have access to edit, so there is no reason that the information should be incorrect:

This page will be updated with additional general resources to help guide teachers with instruction and what is expected of them throughout the year.
